Job Overview

Admissions decisions involve interpretation of complex standards and foreign credentials from all over the world and the collaboration and efficiency of a team of recruiters who must rely on each other’s expertise to yield students whose origins are more and more mixed. The Senior Associate Director will report to the Director of International Admission. He/she is responsible for meeting enrollment targets from his/her assigned regions and for providing support and leadership to the other recruiters of all other international regions so that they reach their targets. This individual will spend 20% of their time traveling nationally and internationally and will be responsible for the reporting of international recruitment key performance indicators by all recruiters. He/she will drive the analysis and development of certain key markets through brand management and relationship building. The individual will be responsible for relationship building with key actors who will positively impact short term market growth and long-term image establishment. He/she will help inform marketing initiatives such as events, web and social media, communication and presentations as well as provide insights for program development in market. The individual should be numbers driven and will be expected to help monitor the flow of students from all regions as they move through the various stages of the admission funnel.

  • Assist the Director in the development, planning and execution of recruitment initiatives in order to meet enrollment goals.
  • Assist the Director in the support of recruiters to make sure the prospective students are progressing through the various stages of the admission funnel
  • Represent MCPHS at high schools, college fairs, college nights and on- and off-campus events as needed, and participating in the formulation of events when appropriate.
  • Interview prospective students and effectively conduct pre-admission counseling to ensure a thorough understanding and acceptance of MCPHS and its programs
  • Oversee all phases of international student file review including verifying finances and TOEFL/IELTS scores, reviewing transcripts and ensures smooth transitions for enrolling students.
  • Nurture extensive relationship building with agents, secondary school and independent counselors
  • Create of travel reports and market white papers to secure information flow to the rest of the international Admissions Team
  • Lead calling campaigns, webinars and yield events form the US and/or in market
  • Develop and oversee on-campus calling center optimization strategy
  • Participate in other activities as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Two year’s experience developing sales internationally
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in a goal-oriented business development team
  • Proficiency with virtual meeting software platforms, Office 360 (Outlook, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Notebook)
  • Experience with Salesforce or a similar Client Relations Management System
  • Logical and detail-oriented organizational skills
  • Must be goal or results-oriented and be comfortable working under pressure of time and numbers/targets
  • Excellent coordination, project management and time management competency
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with students from different cultural backgrounds
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to multitask and effectively function in a fast-paced and team environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment


  • Proficiency in a foreign language
  • Experience in international student enrolment or higher education admissions, with success in meeting application/enrollment targets

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing, sitting, manual dexterity, ability to move between offices and buildings
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Must be able to listen and speak clearly on telephone
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure
  • Must be able to be physically in attendance at designated worksite during scheduled work hours and to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to travel 20% of the year locally, nationally, and internationally.
  • Normal range of vision and hearing (with or without correction)
