Job Description

  • Audits medical bills for unrelated charges, overpayments and accuracy. Assesses payments against either regulatory or administrative charges, coding and billing errors to determine if  inaccurate billing or reimbursement has occurred.
  • Conducts medical  audits by using methodologies for identifying healthcare overpayments and underpayments to health care providers.
  • Will apply working knowledge of provider billing and patient accounting systems to ensure accurate research for defining potential overpayment.
  • Develops, maintains, and ensures adherence to multiple client policies, regulations, and guidelines.

Required and Desired Experience:

  • Must demonstrate strong math skills to perform audits.
  • Must have strong customer service skills including the ability to work with-in a multi team environment.
  • Must have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products and their functionalities.
  • Experienced in either an Auditing Role, Health Care, or Insurance related field is preferred but not required.
  • Experienced in Accounting OR Recent College Graduate in Accounting or Business Administration, is also preferred but not required
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast pace enviroment.
