The successful candidate will be an innovative thinker and leader in online education who is skilled in bringing together diverse teams to imagine, develop, plan, implement, and sustain new directions. They will have a strong track record of connecting groups across a university and its external partnerships to facilitate change, as well as designing and managing robust processes for organizational growth. They will be politically savvy, with a reputation for being a strategic and persuasive problem solver, as well as having a deep understanding of adult learning in a range of contexts.
The successful candidate will be engaged in thought leadership at the forefront of imagining the future of work and learning, and then translating this to the design of new approaches for Purdue Global’s learners and partners in the US and around the world. They will refine and work with Purdue Global’s process to identify and launch future-focused online programs, helping units from initial idea development and market / fiscal analysis, to development and launch, and then through sustainability and continuous assessment / refinement.
The Innovation Catalyst will be an experienced multi-tasker who is comfortable being engaged in many simultaneous projects that span several areas of the university, and who can allocate effort to ensure timely achievement of goals across diverse projects. This position will connect units with appropriate resources, facilitate project design, tracking, and reporting, and coordinate activities and approval processes across Purdue Global and with Purdue online organizations, Kaplan North America and other external partners. The successful candidate will be a good communicator, organized, detail oriented, and have good analytical skills. They should be able to quickly become an expert in the rules, policies, and procedures governing Purdue Global’s online programs.
Required: Graduate degree in Higher Education, Instructional Design, Leadership, Innovation, Business Analytics or related areas. Must have at least 5 to 7 years of progressively more responsible experience related to online higher education innovation, management, and leadership. Demonstrated engagement in innovation within an organization, and experience facilitating change involving teams across multiple internal and external units. Self-starter with strong interpersonal, communication, time management and organizational skills, and prior experience with project market / fiscal analysis and staff supervision.
Must be comfortable with MS Office and Google products, and have experience using relevant massive dataset tools, such as Emsi labor analytics.
Preferred: Graduate degree specifically related to adult education and progressively more responsible experience in online higher education innovation, management, and leadership. Demonstrated leadership in innovation within an organization and active involvement with national or regional online learning organizations. Experience successfully facilitating teams across multiple internal and external units. Self-starter with exceptional interpersonal, communication, time management and organizational skills, and prior experience with staff supervision, and project fiscal market / fiscal analysis and project leadership. Experience with innovation in teaching/learning, educational technologies, assessment, and best practices for online learning.
Language skills and international experience that will contribute to innovation in the area of multi-lingual and international education initiatives.
Virtual position, but preferred willingness to work in West Lafayette, IN as needed for in-person interactions
