GENERAL SUMMARY
The Global Transcript Credential Evaluator reviews and evaluates academic documents in order to prepare evaluation reports for Walden University’s international applicants.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurately review and understand foreign documents in order to determine U.S. degree and course-by-course comparability
  • Utilize various resources to identify appropriate accreditation bodies, grading scales, and education ladders
  • Develop intimate knowledge of global education systems
  • Execute name verification for applicants residing in sanctioned countries via public lists maintained by the U.S. government
  • Prepare correspondence to institutions and applicants
  • Perform document authenticity/verification reviews when necessary
  • Assist with conducting training and participate in interdepartmental outreach initiatives

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of work experience higher education and/or credentialing preferred
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Fluency in a foreign language (oral and written) preferred
  • Study or work abroad preferred
  • Computer literate
  • Extensive experience with conducting research
  • Interest in foreign education systems
