Learning Evaluations is a national leader in recognizing and validating learning and competencies in order to connect post-traditional students, training providers and universities. The Director of Operations provides strategic vision and performance management for multifaceted teams within LE. Areas of responsibility include, grants and contracts oversight, reports and budgeting, technology and data integrity, credentialing and stakeholder support. The Director works collaboratively with senior leadership to determine viability of new revenue generating programs and represents ACE with a variety of external constitutions to promote connected learning and quality assurance in postsecondary credentialing.

Primary Responsibilities

General Administration

  • Upholds consistent collaboration with the Director, Academic Integrity and Quality. Serves on the leadership team and works in collaboration with its other members to achieve business goals and build diverse innovative programs.
  • Oversees contract management, grants management, reporting and metrics, budgeting and pricing, evaluations support, and technology management
  • Maintains an in-depth and thorough knowledge of LE contracts, grants and client agreements.
  • Initiates contact with clients and civilian consultants. Resolves conflicts and responds to inquiries or concerns.
  • Responds to changes in technology and requirements of the customer and constituency.
  • Drives a culture of process improvement with tangible outcomes that consistently improve programmatic standards, customer service, and financial sustainability.
  • Collaborates with Director, Academic Integrity and Quality to directly support all LE clients in order to build trust, document training and education requirements, evaluate organizational culture, and assess strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
  • Assesses the feasibility and organizational fit of new programs and revenue streams in collaborates with executive leaders to develop business models.
  • Meets annual goals for revenue and expenses, client development and retention, impact, and funding from contracts and grants.
  • Drives a culture of process improvement with tangible outcomes that consistently improve programmatic standards.
  • Serves on the Divisional Leadership Team and works in collaboration with its other members to achieve business goals and build diverse innovative programs.
  • Provides strong leadership to subordinate staff with supervision, communication, collaboration and teamwork.
  • Directs and supervises the LE Operations and Engagement team. Organizes professional development opportunities.

Operations and Reporting

  • Provides leadership, oversight, planning, and execution in operational, contracting, quality control and productivity of departmental operations and staff including data management and partner communication.
  • Establishes and directs internal procedures to assure consistency within external communications and adherence to Council protocols.
  • Plans, organizes, and oversees the development and operations of a team to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of all records for participants in the ACE Learning Evaluation.
  • In collaboration with the Director, Academic Integrity and Quality, oversees scheduling, pipeline trends and estimates to develop and manage the departmental budgets.
  • Establishes reporting, metrics, data analytics strategies to enhance business intelligence, track progress towards revenue and contract goals, and measure impact.
  • Supports and oversees the technology integration efforts with ACE and external partners.
  • Co-authors contract and/or grant required reports.
  • Leads and supervises training and advocacy events for the application of ACE evaluated programs, courses, and exams.
  • Reviews and contributes to web content, images, and links for specified pages.
  • Responds to changes in technology and requirements of the customer and constituency.
  • Works with partners and contractors to manage credentialing services.

Planning and Innovation

  • Assesses the feasibility and organizational fit of new programs and revenue streams for business development of LE.
  • Proactively fosters relationships with professional associations, business and industry, employers, colleges and universities, and federal agencies to promote participation and understanding of LE programs.
  • Conducts research on taxonomy frameworks, technology innovation and workforce trends. Produces white papers, short articles and blogs to support Engage content.
  • Acts as public representative of ACE, attending relevant convening, presenting at conferences, preparing webinars and other external promotion of ACE programs.
  • Assists with grant and contract development for new projects. If awarded, provides management and oversight.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate degree or equivalent and 8 years of experience required.
  • Experience with contracts, client engagement, budget development and administration, and business process improvements.
  • US citizenship required per contract requirements.

Working Conditions/Physical Effort
