Liveops is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to be a key contributor in helping grow BI & Analytics capabilities in the business.  The analyst will report to the Manager of Business Intelligence and be responsible for creating data driven insights, dashboards, tabular, and visual reporting, as well as performing ad-hoc querying of data and assisting with continuous improvement efforts.  The analyst understands the value in data driven insights, has demonstrated experience using data visualization platforms, SQL experience, and possesses the business acumen, technical, and analytical experience to work cross functionally and help in the evolution of Liveops’ BI organization.  

The Purpose of Your Role 

  • Play a critical role in the design, development, support, and continuous improvement of the BI environment supporting internal and external stakeholders
  • Analyze complex data from multiple sources, determining configuration and connection methods for ingestion
  • Design dashboards, reports and cards for scalability and internal/external consumption using the Domo platform
  • Develop BI solutions according to user requirements, best practices, and industry standards
  • Participate in a full BI development lifecycle including planning, architecture design, development, testing, migration, and production support
  • Develop and enhance ETL processes for performance, scalability and handling data from multiple sources
  • Work collaboratively to interface with and understand analytical reporting needs of business stakeholders
  • Effectively communicate (written and verbal) technical subject matter to non-technical business stakeholders
  • Be a source of training and insight on the DOMO platform to facilitate knowledge transfer and value recognition of BI
  • Work with disparate data sources and systems to facilitate a mature BI environment

 

The Qualifications We’re Looking For 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative or technical field or equivalent experience
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Domo or equivalent
  • Experience developing business applications using SQL
  • ETL and data ingestion experience (REST API, JSON, XML, ODBC)
  • Web design experience (asp.net, C#, php, Visual Studio)
  • Practical understanding and use of SQL (MySQL, MSSQL, PostGreSQL)
  • Experience with data design and development including data modeling, mapping data elements from various data sources and loading objects including dimensions, hierarchies, tables, and aggregates
  • Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Hands-on experience with SAS, R, Python or similar statistical package
  • Strong business acumen with ability to think strategically and innovatively
  • Excellent presentation, project management and communication skills
